UF Carpentries Club Fall 2023 Workshop
Please join us for the UF Carpentries Club Fall 2023 Workshop: Data Analysis and Visualization in R for Ecologists on Thursday-Friday, September 7-8, 2023. This workshop is an introductory R programming lesson that covers the fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. The target audience is students/researchers who have little to no prior experience with R programming. It covers creating objects, vectors, data types, manipulation, analysis, and data visualization using the ggplot2 package. This lesson is designed to be run on a personal computer. All the software and data used in this lesson are freely available online, and instructions on how to obtain & install them are provided on the workshop website at https://datacarpentry.org/R-ecology-lesson/index.html.
Please note: This workshop would introduce you to the fundamentals of R using some examples from Ecology. Although the examples are from the context of Ecology, it would be very useful for any person new to R programming language (data types, vectors, tidyverse package usage, ggplots etc.) regardless of your field of study/research.
