UFII AI Mini-Symposium: AI in Education

AI in Education Mini-Symposium will bring together AI visionaries, researchers, educators, administrators and industry representatives to discuss the trends and issues in AI in education. Using a variety of session formats the mini symposium will engage these stakeholders in important and timely discussions of the novel applications of AI in education, ethics of AI in education, human-AI interaction and collaboration.

8:45 – 9:15AM   Coffee/pastries, networking

9:15 – 9:30AM  Welcome and AI in Education Updates from UF Leadership (Dr. David Reed, Associate Provost for Strategic Initiatives and Director of UF’s Artificial Intelligence Academic Initiative Center)

1:30 – 2:30PM   Thematic breakouts with a facilitator for each:

    • AI for Decision Making in Education (analytics, IoT etc)
    • AI for Designing Adaptive Learning Experiences Curricula
    • AI Education (What and how we should teach)
    • Ethics and Fairness in AI for Education
