ESIP Research as Art Exhibit

ESIP Research as Art Exhibit

Showcase your best data viz in the ESIP Research as Art Exhibit!

Submissions Due Friday June 10,2016

When art and science collide, the results can be both beautiful and informative.
That’s the idea behind the “Research as Art” exhibit, part of the 2016 Federation of Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) Summer Meeting, July 19-22 in Durham, NC. In collaboration with the South Big Data Hub, ESIP will host the exhibit of data visualizations on Wednesday, July 20 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The event will showcase the diversity, creativity, and impact of the research done by the Earth and data science communities through visualizations and graphical presentations of research results.

You are invited to submit one piece of visual media depicting your work—figures, images, computer models, visualizations—along with a non-technical caption. The call for submissions closes on Friday, June 10. Learn more about the event (and what sort of entries we’re looking for) and when you’re ready, submit your entry here.
