HIPERGATOR SYMPOSIUM 2020

This year’s HiPerGator Symposium will focus on active research applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the University of Florida. After the July 21 announcement of UF’s partnership with NVIDIA, the university is leveraging AI to spur teaching, research, and workforce development. The 2020 HiPerGator Symposium is open to everyone in the UF community:

The symposium will feature postdoctoral associates and graduate students currently using HiPerGator for machine learning and AI technologies in a broad variety of disciplines.

The program will consist of ten-minute lightning talk presentations and poster sessions.

Postdoctoral associates and graduate students currently using HiPerGator for ML and AI research are welcome to submit abstracts for poster presentations and lighting talks. Applicants may choose to have their abstract considered for a lightning talk, poster presentation, or both.

Lightning talks will be presented via Zoom to the whole audience. Researchers selected for posters will upload a PDF of their poster and will be scheduled to be on Zoom for discussion with participants at set times. Participants will be able to view all of the posters and select which they wish to “visit” during the poster sessions.

The organizing committee will evaluate all submissions and select the poster session presenters and lightning talk speakers. The deadline for abstract submissions is September 29, 2020 and presenters will be notified on October 13, 2020.

This event is free to the UF community, but registration is required in order to attend. Participants will receive an email with the Zoom meeting link.
